Guy Whitehouse licensed as Associate Minister
Many of us from St Andrews’ gathered at the Cathedral on Saturday 23rd of May to celebrate the licensing of our Associate Minister, Guy, along with 6 others from across the Diocese. It was a wonderful service in which we celebrated the gifts that the ministry of pay people brings to the Church. On Sunday, Guy led the first part of our Pentecost service. During the sermon, Rowena interviewed him about his journey of faith and his calling.
Guy says: “Being licensed as an Associate Minister did feel like a sort of coming home; I’d always thought of the CofE as my spiritual home, even if circumstances hadn’t always allowed me to be attached to a CofE church. […] All of us who were licensed yesterday were adamant this was only the beginning of something and resolved to keep in touch at least once a year when we would have a meal and organise a speaker.”
It is always a joy to celebrate and encourage vocations within our church community.
